TITANS 29 years on…

The Original Titans Street Hockey Club was formed 25 years ago and in the late 80’s early 90’s  merged with Basildon Skater Hockey Club forming the Basildon Titans. Titans then went on to become one of the most famous teams in the UK and Europe.

Since then the Club has had  many splits and re-unions from Basildon,   becoming different Titan teams stemming from the Original Established in 1983.

In  2000 the team finaly split from Basildon and  , Glenn Evans (Smurf) created the Titans Inline Hockey Club and started playing Inline Rink Hockey at Bisley, Surrey. Gradually the team grew and became more successful, and in 2003 Smurf decided to leave the UK and further his hockey career in the USA. he  recruited Sharon Hounslow as new Titan team manager.

With the Help of Captain  Jae Paxman and coach Ricky Cooper, Titans Won the 2003 - 2004 GBHI Southern Senior League Title,  in 2004 - 2005 season, Titans once again won the GBHIS Senior league and also the GBHI Senior  Nationals and the NSHL Nationals.

 

 

Coach Ricky Cooper retired in 2006 and Carl Toppin was appointed coach – Carl did a fantastic job during 2006-2007 season despite several key players missing due to University education and various other personal commitments. With just a few players Titans still managed a top 5 placing in GBHIS.

 

In 2007 -2008 season ,  Titans  merged with the South London Snipers under the Titans Banner , Now sponsored by Snowzone , Titans win the Bipha South Senior League and make 6th place at Bipha Nationals

 

2008 – 2009 — Titans Win Northern Cyclones Invitation Cup in Bangor—Belfast—Northern Ireland Nov 1st/2nd, Win the 5th Annual Valley Vase—Belfast—Northern Ireland and Win

Bipha South East Senior League.

 

2009 – 2010 - Finish NSHL Senior league winners  -  Titan Vets taking NSHL 2nd place, Win Northern Cyclones Halloween Invitation Cup and the 6th Annual Valley Vase  -  Belfast  -  Northern Ireland— Seniors Win Sam Hoskins Memorial Cup 23rd October 2010 Weymouth
